It’s true, vegans love a good shake. Just ask Justin Timberlake (who I prefer to call JT) how great a vegan shake can be! And this McDonald’s copy is not only vegan, it’s a much healthier version.
The trick is to use really great ingredients. Don’t skimp on the peppermint flavoring either, I used an organic pure peppermint oil and the taste is incredible. As for the ice cream, there are some new vegan versions which provide you plenty of options. It’s your choice, coconut, soy, hemp or almond based, they are all pretty darn tasty.
Ingredients: makes 3 1 1/4 cup servings
1 quart vegan ice cream
1/2 cup vegan milk
3/4 teaspoon organic peppermint flavoring
2 tablespoons flaxseed oil
fresh mint for garnish
place all ingredients into blender and mix well. Serve immediately.
