vegan backyard s’mores

vegan vegetarian backyard s

This is one of those things I long to give my girls, a childhood memory in an animal friendly and environmentally conscious way. Just because we are vegan and vegetarian, that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a few traditional treats, just updated! If you know what is actually in real marshmallows and milk chocolate, you understand why we won’t be having those things in our house. And while I do limit sugar, sometimes you just gotta have a treat;)

So last Friday we set out to have a backyard campfire complete with s’mores. We ran to the store for vegan marshmallows and they don’t carry them anymore, huge bummer. But we didn’t let us stop us, we just modified things a bit and I think these were even better! We did buy vegan graham crackers, but these cookies were so cute we wanted to use them first.
