berry and oat smoothie ~ detox approved

Day 3 of my annual detox and we have been feeling great! I much prefer to eat my fruits and veggies to drinking them, but the girls think smoothies are such a fun treat and this one filled with oatmeal and mixed berries was perfect today. Soaking the oats makes them more easily digestible and the texture in the smoothie is actually smooth. Using frozen organic berries means that even though is’t winter, I can still get my berry fix in affordably and in great taste.

Including superfruits like blueberries, pomegranate, strawberries and blackberries gives you a punch of flavonoids, manganese, antioxidants and vitamin C in a package that tastes like desert. So drink to your health!

 

Ingredients: 2 servings

1 cup frozen organic mixed berries
1/2 cup soaked oatmeal
3/4 cup juice or coconut milk

Method:

place all ingredients into blender and mix until smooth. serve immediately.
